The New House
In early 2003, we got the crazy idea to try to sell our home in Hatboro. In 2 weeks flat, we found a buyer, and the race was on for a new home. This was a race we seemed to be losing, for less than 3 weeks before closing, we had yet to find a place. Then, seemingly out of the sky, the right home landed at our feet. The house was just about all we wanted, and then some, plus it was within 3 miles from our old home. Now, in Real Estate speak, the house was 'tired.' In normal language, this meant the place was seriously out-dated and needed some repair. Roof, windows, doors...normal things that need redone in 30 years. So here are the pictures of the house in the original move-in condition. Further along, there will be pictures of our progress in sprucing it up. Enjoy!

All these pictures were taken in July. The house is located on a private road nestled in some trees. There are four homes along this small road, ours is the third home in. As you can see (or not) the place is hard to spot from the street. It was up for sale one day when we got our appointment and made an offer. They made us sweat a couple days before accepting.
