Kitchen day 2
Well, things are shaping up very nicely here in the kitchen remodel on day 2. Rob and I were both at work today, so we did not get to see the transformation, just the end result. The electrical wiring was completed, and the plumbing was also done. While that was going on, wall repair was accomplished with nice new sheetrock. Take a look!

Inspector General here making sure the work is up to snuff. The top picture is where the fridge used to be; the new oven will call that corner home. The next photo is the pantry corner, then the old stove area and a close-up of the sink connection all cleaned away of the old unit. Directly above is the new light switch for the dining room. You can see it had been placed on the other side of the door about 6 inches in. I did not like that, so I had them move it. They also installed a new outlet in the living room so we can plug in the TV. As exciting as that is for me, it did not make much of a picture.

When we got home at quarter to 7 this evening, a pleasent surprise awaited us. As the garage door opened, it revealed... the cabinet order! It fills up the entire portion of the garage we had cleared, and then some. Many many boxes, all shapes and sizes. It is like a giant puzzle, and I am glad I am not the one who needs to figure it all out! One of the boxes was opened so you can see the color of the cabinets. The color is called Autumn Blush, the door style is Townsend. My flash washed out the close-up. It is a deeper reddish color, like in the picture to the right.
