Kitchen Work page 2
Scott was very critical of the original builder and kitchen installer. He found shortcuts and shoddy workmanship at every turn and in every corner. Some cabinets were installed with screws that were too long and poked into the next cabinet, while other cabinets were nailed in because, apparently, they had run out of screws And he has no idea why the ceiling is dropped. Not only that, but they used the wrong sized lumber and the ceiling is sagging in the center. It will need to be corrected some time in the future.

The oven ended up being stuck to the floor, not bolted down (yuck), and was easy to remove because Scott and Russ know what they are doing. I cannot believe the filthy mess that kitchen is behind the ugly cabinets and all. Tomorrow they fix up the electrical system and the plumbing. Wednesday they start putting in the cabinets!

This is the corner where the stove was.

This is the former pantry area.

This corner was empty before.

All that's left is the kitchen sink!
