The Beginning
You all remember the nasty kitchen, right? Well, we figured we would live with it for a while until we could really afford to fix it up right. That plan was nixed the day I opened the oven and saw the hideous mess and health hazard that it had become. Because the oven was built in, I could not just buy a new one and plug it in. Since I needed a pro to fix that all up, we decided to just go ahead with the whole kitchen remodel. Well, today is the day it all comes together. Well, starts to anyways. Below are some photos of the cleaned out kitchen waiting for its facelift, followed by the work that was done today. I hope to provide daily updates, or at least daily photos updated once a week. The whole project is slated for a month's time.

First thing the workers did was put up plastic sheeting on the doorways.
They wasted no time getting to business. They went after the pantry and knocked it out first, then moved on to the floor. It is a wonder they did not go blind looking at it so closely. It didnt give up without a fight either. It was nailed and stapled to the subfloor, but Scott and Russ triumphed.
		The fridge was next. It is moving to the wall opposite its current position. Nice collection of muck under there, isnt it?
