We were able to order the new fridge due to a sale and yearlong same-as-cash promo at Lowe's. This is a Maytag Performa bottom freezer unit. As you can see, we have already filled it with our junk food. The soda, whipped cream and butter belong to us. The lettuce and carrots are for the rabbit.
This fridge is much bigger than the previous one left to us. Still there was plenty of room for it to fit. I am glad we ended up with the cabinets up there. I certainly have plenty to put in them!
Here are some pictures of the
newly cleaned off deck in the back. The original stain was a pale brown
color that had faded and turned gray over the years. Plus mold and mildew
was growing on the rails and uprights. It was in bad shape. We tried to
clean it ourselves, but there was little difference for our efforts. A
pro came in and was able to strip away the mold and the ugly stain. What
you see now is a really nice wood pattern that was completely covered
up. The guy is coming back to stain the deck a redwood color and put on
a good clear coat to help protect it.
