More Jack
We have had Jack for 2 months now and he is getting pretty comfortable in his new home. We had him 'fixed' at the beginning of April and that has calmed him and made him a better bunny socially. But he still chases the cats.

Here are the latest pictures of Jack, taken late April 2004. He spends a lot of time outside of his cage now. He has been litter trained enough that we can trust him to be out and not have to worry about a large mess. He spends most of his free time lounging in the dining room, where we put out some food for him. He has also developed a taste for cake, and a snack food called "Girlfriend's Booty," which comes from the "Pirate's Booty" line of all-natural crunchy things. Jack responds instantly to the crinkle of a chip bag, and learned that begging in a cute and pathetic way will get him lots of Booty. Typical boy....

Below are a couple pictures of Jack trying to fit in. The cats climb up on the tree to sleep in the sun, and of course to get away from the rabbit. But this does not stop him from trying to fit in.

Here are some close-ups of the cats in the new tree. They got this as a Christmas gift last year. They instantly took to it, but now it is a safe haven from Jack. I think they also jump up there to torment him because he cannot follow.

Be on the look out for more bun pics! Check back often!

Here are new photos of Jack, taken June 2004. It is hard to believe he has been with us only 4 months. Jack now has full run of the house. He has litter trained himself and he does not chew the wires (a big concern we had at first). Jack is still trying to make peace with the cats and be more like them. Here you see him in Karma's cat bed. She hasn't been back to it since.
